Lanky, Curly and Babe in the Impossible Journey

^ that is the title to my childrens story about our lives.

Sometimes the IMPOSSIBILITY of what we are doing really hits me.  We are embarking on an impossible journey, against all odds.  We are trendsetting, pathfinding, clearing the way.  What we are doing has never (to my knowledge) been done before.  There has NEVER been a Tanzanian adopted to Canada where the adopted parents were not Tanzanian or had not lived in Tanzania for the required 3 year period. How then are we doing this you ask.. well we are putting a lot of faith in a little man who is helping us along the way, a big man watching over us, and some fine print at the bottom of the law which states "unless it is to the benefit of the child."  That little piece of fine print is what will hopefully allow us to bypass the system.  Hopefully.

Lets see what the Bible has to say about Impossible things:

 Luke 1:34-38
34 Mary asked the angel, “But how can this happen? I am a virgin.”
35 The angel replied, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God. 36 What’s more, your relative Elizabeth has become pregnant in her old age! People used to say she was barren, but she has conceived a son and is now in her sixth month. 37 For nothing is impossible with God.”
38 Mary responded, “I am the Lord’s servant. May everything you have said about me come true.” And then the angel left her.

Matthew 17:20
“You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.”

Mark 10:27
Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with God. Everything is possible with God.”

Heavy sigh of relief that we believe in the God of the Impossible!

God please grow my FAITH in you!  I`m not always there, I`m not there yet, but help me get there!

You are the God of the impossible and we lift our impossible dream into your hands.
Thank you that you know where this journey will take us and help us to be in tune with your will and your Holy Spirit as he speaks to us!
Amen.
